e-Smart® Technologies CEO Featured Speaker
At Child Exploitation Summit
Washington DC, November 14, 2005
/ PRNewswire-FirstCall/— e-Smart® Technologies, Inc., (Pink Sheets:
ESMT) (“e-Smart®” or the “Company”) is pleased
to announce that Mary Grace, the Company’s President and CEO, will
be a featured speaker at the “Children in Slavery” –
The 21st “Century” Summit on November 14th at Georgetown University
in Washington, D.C.
The “Century” Summit is sponsored by Robert L. Gallucci, Dean
of the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service and Susan F. Martin,
Director of the Institute for the Study of International Migration, and
will focus on the global commitment to eradicate all forms of child slavery.
The Summit is designed to educate people about the global phenomenon that
has become child slavery, reduce the number of victims enslaved world-wide
and offer practical solutions to the deplorable epidemic. Ms. Grace will
speak about the Company’s Biometric Verification Security System™
and the Super Smart Card and how the system’s many applications
can provide solutions to combat and eradicate child slavery and exploitation.
The Summit features other leaders in government, law enforcement and business,
including President of the UN General Assembly Jan Eliasson, U.S. Ambassador
John R. Miller, Director of the State Department’s Office to Monitor
and Combat Trafficking in Persons, Claude Allen, White House Deomestic
Policy Advisor, Charlie Black, Chairman, Children in Slavery Summit, Max
Fratoddi, Co-Chair, Children in Slavery Summit and former Secretariat
of the FBI’s Counter Drug Intelligence, Ernie Allen, President,
CEO and Founder of the International Centre for Missing and Exploited
Children, Paula Dobriansky, Under Secretary of State for Democracy &
Global Affairs, Moises Naim, former World Bank Director and former Minister
of Trade of Venezuela and Maria Velinkonja, former FBI agent; International
Trafficking Law Enforcement.
“It is an honor,” said Mary Grace, “to be invited to
participate in this worthy cause and provide solutions to this horrific
problem.” “It seems unreal,” continued Ms. Grace, “that
today, in the 21st Century, child slavery and exploitation exists in our
country and countries around the world – that children, our most
innocent and vulnerable citizens, are trafficked across borders and sold
as slaves to be used in forced labor and, even worse, sold into child
pornography and prostitution and other criminal activities. All of us
must work together and do our part to bring an end to what can only be
described as the worst kind of human rights violations. We can all agree
that one war is a just one, the war against child slavery and exploitation.
It is my hope that e-Smart®’s advanced system and technologies can
serve as a powerful non-violent weapon to win this war.”
e-Smart® is the exclusive licensee in the U.S. and Asia of the Super Smart
