Elliott H. Cole to Join e-Smart® Technologies Advisory Board

New Advisory Board to Guide Company's Growth

August 12, 2003 - San Jose, Ca. August 11, 2003/PR Newswire via COMTEX - e-Smart® Technologies, Inc., announced the agreement of Mr. Elliot H. Cole to join the Company's newly formed Advisory Board and to act as a consultant to the Company. A senior partner with the firm of Patton Boggs, LLP (Washington, DC), Mr. Cole has practiced corporate law in the nation's capitol for over 40 years, more than 30 of those years as a partner at Patton Boggs.

Mr. Cole's expertise lies in the representation of early-stage companies. As a counselor of start-ups through mezzanine and later-stage financing, he assists with bringing along to maturity companies in a wide range of businesses. His broad-based contacts with financiers and investors have provided capital and management assistance to a number of firm's clients over the years. Mr. Cole serves on the boards of numerous business, community and social organizations, and has been a trustee of his alma mater, Boston University, for over 20 years.
