Mr. Beard recently retired as Vice Chairman, Finance & Operations, of The Interpublic Group of Companies, Inc., a worldwide advertising and marketing communications group. A former board member of Interpublic Group, and chairman of its finance committee, Eugene Beard currently serves on the boards of directors of 59 Wall St. Fund, Old Westbury Fund, and, Mattel & Company. Mr. Beard is a member of the Advisory Council for Ethics and the Professions at Harvard's John F. Kennedy School of Government and personally established the Beard Graduate and Faculty Fellowship programs for Ethics in the Professions, there.
